This was taken today to try get a close-up for a theme shoot competition on Tuesday. The high magnification required careful technique: heavy tripod, mirror-up to eliminate vibration, remote release. A 300mm lens on extension tubes was used to provide working distance. The image was backlit.

I love the stained glass feel of the image.

  1. I love the stained glass feel too. Is this an oil droplet image?

    • I am delighted that you enjoy it – it is a flower that was frozen in ice.
